Print Mediums and Sizes

My fine art deep-space and nature photographs are available as museum-quality prints in sizes ranging from 8"×12" to breathtaking 60"×120" statement pieces, depending on the image and print medium.  Four mediums are available to choose from: acrylic, panel mounted, metal and archival paper.   Many of my photographs can also be produced in custom sizes or alternative print mediums to perfectly suit your space.  If you don't see the size or option you're looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I'd be happy to discuss your vision, offer recommendations and create a custom piece tailored to your needs.

Display & Lighting Recommendations

Before you buy, carefully consider the lighting conditions where your artwork will be displayed.

It's helpful to remember that photographs on a computer monitor or television are viewed with projected light, while artwork on your wall is viewed with reflected light.  Because of this, a fine art print will naturally appear different than it does on your screen and if the room is too dim, it may not reveal the full depth, color and detail captured in the image which is why they will always benefit from additional accent lighting.

When properly illuminated, acrylic-mounted prints, in particular, take on a remarkable sense of depth and luminosity, giving the artwork an almost backlit, three-dimensional presence.  A well-placed accent light doesn't just brighten the print; it transforms the way the artwork is experienced.  It draws the eye, enhances the photograph's natural beauty and allows it to become a true focal point in your home—especially in the evening, when the changing light gives the piece an entirely new character.

Super glossy metal prints also benefit from thoughtful lighting, which enhances their richness while minimizing unwanted reflections.  Matte finishes are naturally more forgiving in brightly lit spaces and reduce glare, making them an excellent choice for many environments.

To help preserve your artwork for years to come, avoid displaying it in direct sunlight.  While all my ready-to-hang prints feature UV-protective finishes, prolonged exposure to sunlight can still cause fading, heat damage and, over time, may affect the integrity of these pieces.  Bright, indirect light and/or proper accent lighting is always the best choice for all types of prints.

If you use accent lighting, and I recommend you seriously consider it, make sure the fixture is far enough away that it doesn't generate noticeable heat on the print.  I also recommend staying away from fluorescent lighting in particular as it generates U/V light that can cause your artwork to fade and  the color of fluorescent lights distorts the color of the artwork.

For the best color accuracy and long-term preservation, use LED lighting.  LEDs generate very little heat, emit minimal ultraviolet light, and provide a clean, natural illumination that faithfully reproduces the colors in your photograph.  LED bulbs in the 3000K–4000K color temperature range typically provide the most balanced, gallery-like lighting.  Another consideration is the CRI (color rendering index) rating of the bulb.   A CRI value of 90 or greater is best for accurately reproducing the natural colors of the image.

For optimal presentation, aim your accent lights from above at approximately a 30-degree angle. This helps minimize reflections, reduces shadows cast by the viewer, and allows the artwork to be seen at its best.

As always, if you have questions about lighting or displaying prints, you can contact me.

For ease of hanging, my ready-to-hang prints (acrylic, panel mounted & metal) are normally shipped with the WallBuddies hanging system attached to the 3/4" inset frame.  The WallBuddies hangers simplify the hanging process while at the same time provide a strong and reliable wall attachment for the print.

Framing Options

My fine art Acrylic, Panel Mounted and Metal prints are normally shipped with a 3/4" floating frame attached.  While I don’t offer other framing options on my ordering pages, alternate framing for the ready-to-hang prints is available as a custom order.  If you would like to have your Acrylic, Panel Mounted or Metal fine art prints framed as part of your order, please contact me so we can discuss options and pricing.  At this time, I do not offer any framing options for loose fine art paper prints.

Production

Every order placed through my website is personally reviewed to ensure all of the details are correct before I send it to my professional print lab for production.  In most cases, your order is submitted within 24 hours, unless I'm away in the field creating new photographs.

Each print is made to order using premium materials and meticulous craftsmanship to ensure the best quality.

Acrylic Prints typically require up to three weeks for production, as each piece is carefully handcrafted to meet the highest gallery standards. Panel Mounted, Chromaluxe Metal and Fine Art Paper Prints generally require 1–2 weeks for production.

If you have a specific deadline, please contact me before placing your order to discuss rush production options.  Additional fees may apply, and expedited service is subject to availability.  Please note that prints larger than 40 inches may require additional production time.

Shipping and Delivery

Your artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped at no additional cost anywhere within the United States.  If you're purchasing from outside the U.S., please contact me before placing your order so I can provide an international shipping quote.

Every print is packaged with the same care that goes into creating it.  Prints larger than 40 inches are shipped in custom-built protective crates designed to safeguard your artwork throughout its journey.

To help ensure your artwork arrives safely, deliveries may require a signature upon receipt.

While shipping damage is extremely rare, your purchase is fully protected.   If your artwork arrives damaged, simply photograph both the packaging and the artwork, then email the images to me.   I'll arrange for a replacement print to be produced and shipped as quickly as possible.

Fine Art Paper Prints are shipped rolled in a protective tube.  For the best results, I recommend taking the unopened package directly to your professional framer.  If you prefer, I can also ship your print directly to your framer upon request.
